Paws at the Park is the Gold Coast’s original dog market event that will make your tail wag with excitement! Established in 2016, our paw-some event has grown into Australia's largest free dog market extravaganza, earning us the title of Queensland’s “Best Doggie Day Out” and the “Best Dog Market Event - Australia”.
Prepare to be bow-wowed by a paw-some array of over 100 dog-centric stalls, showcasing everything from trendy accessories and fashion for your stylish pooch to top-quality pet food, veterinary services, and even doggy ice cream that will have your canine companion begging for more.
At our stage you’ll witness jaw-dropping tricks, captivating talks, live music that will make your ears perk up and our popular best dressed competitions.
Your pup can also frolic, fetch, and mingle with their furry comrades in our small and big dog off-leash play areas!
Our event was proudly founded by a dynamic duo of dog devotees, Jenna and Lia, along with their trusty canine co-conspirators, Ruby and Piper. They were on a mission to create a doggone good time, bringing together the Gold Coast's canine community and their humans for a day filled with tail-wagging laughter, paw-some memories, and endless opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate our furry family members. And boy did they achieve that!
In 2025, after building Paws at the Park into a Gold Coast doggie community icon, Jenna and Lia decided to search for someone to take over the leash. Thankfully, Pet Wellness Centre decided to step up to save this pawsome community event and ensure the doggone good times would continue well into the future.

For those of you who are new to Paws at the Park this is our story…
Jenna and Lia are self-confessed crazy dog ladies who were runing their own small doggie businesses.
Their idea to create Paws at the Park came from humble beginnings. They had both attended ‘normal’ markets with their businesses but felt that it would be amazing to create a place where all local doggies business owners (or petrepreneurs!) could show off their products and services to like-minded furparents… so they decided to make it a reality.
Pet Wellness Centre is a full service veterinary clinic in beautiful Burleigh Heads with a focus on helping pet owners manage their pet’s overall health, rather than just treating them when they’re sick. With everything you would expect from a vet clinic as well as acupuncture, physiotherapy, titer testing, hydrotherapy and more, they really are More than just a Vet!
Pet Wellness Centre’s mission is Pet Wellness, Human Wellness, Community Wellness. They fully believe that pets make people better people and better people make better communities. This led them to become Silver Sponsors of Paws at the Park early on because its a perfect alignment with their mission. When they heard the event might not continue, they knew they had to step in to ensure the dog loving community of the Gold Coast wouldn’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to come together and celebrate the magic of the pet human bond together.
